The database contains basic information on more than 3000 medieval liturgical manuscripts and fragments in more than 130 Austrian libraries. The data have been compiled from available library catalogues (cf. the complete list of library catalogues). The correctness of these indications has not always been verified in detail. The database provides information on the depository and the shelfmark, the provenance, the genre (antiphoner, breviary, gradual, etc; complete or fragmentary), the date, the amount of folios, the notation (NN: neumes, FLN: early staff notation, ZN: Cistercian notation, GN: Gothic notation, QN: square notation, MN: mensural notation), and the consulted library catalogue.
This database is no longer updated. The last update was in 2014.
